#275 - Spring Rising

5"x 7" oil on masonite Sold

I can't remember the name of this little purple flower but I love the way it looks before it fully blooms. Looks like a flaming arrow pointed at the sun. So spring is here and it's about time. The cold grey winter seemed like it was going to last forever. Now it feels like all the new spring colors are waking me up out hibernation.

Love this! The flower you have painted is a purple coneflower, a.k.a. echinacea.

Yeah. What Clair said - I'm glad she spelled it. This is glittery, magical!
