#222 Fruit Pitcher

2.5"x 3.5"(ACEO) oil on artboard Sold

This was painted from a photo I took indoors (in our old kitchen). It's a pitcher of water with oranges and cucumber in it. My wife makes this in the summer and it's so sweet and refreshing. I don't know what it is about long exposures, but it just seems to pull out the colors better and look more organic like film. Often the details are blurred from the exposure time, but I'll take true colors over details any day.

I love the complementary colors in the focal area contrasted with the muted background colors. Cucumbers and oranges, huh? Sounds weird. I'll have to try it.

Thank you ladies. I'm glad you think so. I have to move a bunch of stuff around to make this work, but I just wanted to get the colors so bad ya know.
