#177 Apple Escape
6"x6" oil on masonite SOLD
The challenge of this one for me was to NOT get wrapped up in details. All those apple and then bag over create so many shapes. Don't panic. Relax. Don't think. Just scan and compare. Squint and blur your eyes. Don't paint "things", just put the color shapes in the right relationship in the right place. Plug em in, and say no to fussing. It didn't even come together as something until the end. At least I didn't notice it until then. :)

yay! it's terrific. I really like the composition.
Love this one! You are nailing these paintings!
In your description you've written a perfectly succinct description of How To Paint. I absolutely love it. You should print it and take it with you whenever you paint. _I_ should print it and take it with me whenever I paint. It works!!! This painting is spot on.
Neat! This one almost has a pastel feel about it.
Great! I like what you wrote, too - expresses exactly what goes through my head while painting.
It certainly worked for you in this one!
Bravo, Jeff! I'm going to put your mantra to the test someday. If anyone needs to free up, it's me.
I was admiring the looseness of your painting -- the title made me chuckle, too
Jeff-This is a great painting! I think you nailed it, not just the painting but also your attitude. Great job! - Raymond/3
If I could make a blushing emoticon I would. Thank you guys so much for the compliments. Was feelin low yesterday and these were exactly what I needed. Very much appreciated.

Now if ONLY I would follow the advice that you and others apply!!
Thanks again for sharing your learning journey with your fellow learners.
