6"x6" oil on masonite SOLD
I get the best light (north) coming in our bathroom window. I wonder how my wife feels about me spending hours in there (maybe she's worried heh heh). I like the composition and color variations of this one, but I wish I had loosed up a lot more.

Jeff - Spend all the time you need in the John - you create your best work in there. Light, color harmony, composition are all very strong in this piece. Nice!
Ha! That's funny and sounds like a good marketing plan. I could be the "bathroom painter", backbacking from toilette to toilette. People come home to find me plein air painting in their bathroom! Picture a pochade box set up in front of the commode and me saying "Good morning, I'm not in the way am I?" ha!
I like the rich color contrast between the deep red and the white and tan. Well done.
I usually read a magazine in there, but you were much more constructive. This is really good work. I was struck by the depth of field and by the nice translucence of the glass.

aside from all that curiosity, the painting is beautiful, Jeff, I love compositions that are mostly neutral with a slash of colour.

Ha! I think it's some kind of fancy body oil. My wife has all kind of pretty girly stuff in the bathroom/kitchen etc. Works out great because I get to paint them. :)

I was tempted to insert some bathroom humor here but I'll constrain myself and just say nice job Jeff. Apparently you should be spending more time in there because the quality of light you achieve in this painting is really beautiful. I like how you've composed the green and red complimentary colors in the painting as well. Very nice.
Funny comments, but, this is really a fantastic painting. Subtle, rich color and killer design!
