#141 He's Got My Back

6"x6" oil on masonite SOLD

Man, I was sick today. No excuse not to paint right? So I got loaded on dayquil and robitussin and did this one in the bathroom. I celebrated by going right back to sleep. I'm pretty pleased with this one though I wish I had labored less over it. Since the light was so subtle I found it hard to break up into major refinable masses. Anyway, I think it came out nice.

This is fantastic, especially for a sick man to paint! I love the simplicity of shape and the clean, shiny counter.

I hope you feel better soon!

Jeff,
Don't listen to Diana. Stay sick. This painting is great! - Minty fresh and wonderful. I almost bought it last night myself, but if I open that door, it might start an avalanche of buying these wonderful, fun little paintings. Then I would have to start explaining to people: "No, that one is by so and so” I know I will kick myself tomorrow, since you are giving this one away. Good work! (Just kidding about the stay sick thing BTW)

Wonderful job on this one..... really it's my new favorite. I'm not sure how you managed to paint while sick. I've been sick since last Friday and I couldn't paint if I had to, sitting at the computer is more than I feel like doing. Great job.......

I really like this. I'm going to have to try the Dayquil-Robitussin blend and see if it gets me anywhere... Good work throughout! -- Kevin
